Summary of Session:

The session will detail the process of testing and diagnosis at Scottish E. coli O157/STEC Reference Laboratory (SERL).
Outcomes:
1. Awareness of different strains of STEC including their identification and typing.
2. Appreciation of the clinical significance of various strains, long term carriage and clearance
