Public health input to Alcohol licensing

Summary of Session:
The session will focus on public health input into alcohol licensing with a focus on:
(i) Tailoring the five yearly statement of licensing policy revisions to take account of changing alcohol consumption and purchasing behaviours (currently being drafted)
(ii) Prospects for the better use of health information in licensing policy decision making
The main outcome will be an appreciation and understanding of the challenges facing public health inputs to alcohol licensing as well as some insights into ways forward for reducing alcohol harms via licensing and related availability measures.
