This privacy notice is for North of Scotland Public Health Network (NoSPHN) and its website http://www.nosphn.scot.nhs.uk/. The purpose of this policy is to explain how your personal information is processed, handled and protected by NoSPHN. 

This website supports the work of the North of Scotland Public Health Network (NosPHN) which is a collaboration between NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney, NHS Shetland, NHS Tayside and NHS Western Isles.

NoSPHN fully respects your right to privacy when using our services including this website, this section provides details of our privacy practices and what we do to maintain your right to privacy.

Personal Data Collection 

Personal data is information that identifies you. It includes things like your name and address. Information about you and your organisation is collected when you access our services online, by phone or in writing. 

The only personal data collected and processed is data that is necessary for the particular task we are carrying out, that you have provided directly yourself and is for the purpose of delivering NoSPHN’s objectives and supporting public health collaboration in the North of Scotland.

How We Use the information We Collect

We process your information for the purpose of providing you with the services from NoSPHN. This includes:

  • NoSPHN E-bulletin mailing list
  • Project group membership
  • Development of Continuous Professional Development Opportunities to meet learning and development needs
  • Access to NoSPHN website private areas for groups

 

How Your Information is Looked After

Care is taken to ensure that your personal information is only accessible to authorised people. It is stored on NHS Scotland Systems. The NoSPHN website is hosted on SHOW. This website is hosted on a secure server in the UK and is maintained by NoSPHN staff.

The security of any personal data is maintained using secure data storage and information security policies and procedures are in place and adhered to. These are GDPR compliant. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also requires us to make sure your data is accurate, kept up to date and is only kept for the necessary time.
