Children and Young People’s Health Services NoS # Making It Better

To facilitate the North of Scotland to meet it’s vision to be the best place for children and young people to grow up, it was recognised that a a new model of care, including GP`s with a special interest, Advanced Nurse and Allied Health Practitioners and primary care Paediatricians may be required. Funding was approved as part of the North of Scotland Regional Delivery Plan to engage on and deliver the transformation required for a new model of care for the North of Scotland. 

The Director of Public Health, NHS Grampian and NHS Shetland was the Executive Sponsor on behalf of NoSPHN, NoS Child Health Commissioners and Strategic Leads. NoSPHN provided specialist public health capacity to support this programme development.

Aim of Project

To engage with a wide range of stakeholders to scope the options and make recommendations for the transformation of services which will lead to the longer term sustainable provision of primary and secondary care paediatric and CAMHS services across the North of Scotland. 

Gathering of NoS Health Intelligence

Initial work was undertaken to complete an information gathering and data mapping exercise. A broad range of information relating to children and young people’s services was collated from across North of Scotland. These documents are password protected .
